Former Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins is still searching for a new home.

After the Ravens signed free ageny Derrick Henry in the first week of the open market period, Dobbins became expendable in Baltimore as he, himself, became a free agent.

Dobbins reportedly met with the Los Angeles Chargers and new coach Jim Harbaugh already this offseason, and now, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the former Ohio State Buckeyes running back is set to meet with the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Dobbins, 25, is coming off an Achilles tear suffered in the Week 1 matchup with the Houston Texans last season, and has been medically cleared for all football activities. Dobbins is no stranger to long injury recoveries, as he torn ACL in training camp ahead of the 2021 season and missed the entire year recovering. He returned in 2022 and played eight games.

As a second-round pick in 2020, Dobbins shined as a rookie, scoring nine touchdowns and rushing for 805 yards while averaging 6.0 yards per carry. But injuries have derailed his career. It didn't help that the torn Achilles came in a contract year.

While there is interest in Dobbins around the league, teams will likely not offer the contract that he deserves because of his injury history.

Even after the Ravens signed Henry, there's still a possibility Dobbins re-signs with Baltimore in a backup role. The Ravens currently have Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell under contract, and could use more depth behind Henry.
