Donte DiVincenzo's record three-point tally has seen some long balls but this is likely his deepest launch yet.

DiVincenzo concluded the Knicks' first half in the Windy City on a literal high note on Tuesday, arching the ball near the United Center ceiling on a successful buzzer-beating three-pointer launched from beyond halfcourt, situating the visitors with a 68-62 halftime lead over the hosting Chicago Bulls. It capped off a 14-point half for DiVincenzo, who shot 6-of-10 from the field as the Knicks seek to further solidify their playoff positioning.

DiVincenzo's toss was part of a wild ending to the first half: the Knicks led by as much as 14 over the first 24 but Chicago was able to whittle the lead down to a single possession in the dying stages thanks to a late run. Nikola Vucevic hit a triple with six seconds remaining before Coby White turned an errant Jalen Brunson pass into three more, making it 65-62 in the penultimate second. That set the stage for DiVincenzo, who gave the Knicks a somwhat comfortable lead as they look to also avenge Friday's prior loss to the Bulls.

The big three from the Big Ragu was perhaps a perfect counter to the Bulls blooper earlier in the first half: early in the second period, Torrey Craig took a steal from Bojan Bogdanovic and tried to go the distance on a fast break. Craig lobbed it to himself off the backboard, but a trailing Andrew Drummond went for the dunk instead, leading to a Chicago turnover. Drummond was later moved to the Chicago locker room in a wheelchair and will not return after he was diagnosed with an ankle injury.
