The Chicago Cubs had their most impressive win of the season on Tuesday night, coming away with a 12-2 victory against the Colorado Rockies. For the Cubs, taking care of business against lesser teams this year is a necessity if they want to win the National League Central.

They scored those 12 runs by way of 14 hits, including four home runs. Seiya Suzuki, Cody Bellinger, Christopher Morel, and Garrett Cooper left the yard during their big win.

The former MVP Bellinger had an impressive night, finishing with two hits and a walk. Chicago needs him to be the player he was last season to find the success they’re looking for, and that looks to be the case in the early stages of the year.

Chants of "Cody! Cody!" were heard throughout the stadium in the seventh inning leading up to Bellinger’s at-bat. In return, he hit a home run that bounced off the video board, an absolute blast to cap off the Cubs' night.

Bellinger spoke about the fans and what they do for the team, having the following to say, according to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com.

"That was cool. Sometimes you hear it and sometimes you don't but I definitely heard that one. Rain, snow, cold, hot -- they're going to be out supporting. That's what makes it really special."

As Bellinger says, having the fan base behind him certainly helps.

It's also something that should be used as a benefit for future free-agent signings. Chicago has one of the biggest, if not the biggest, fan bases in all of baseball.

The crowd is always cheering for their team no matter the day, giving them all the extra push they need to come away with the win.
